Did David kill him? All these questions will be answered。 Hold onto your seat for this one。 I would recommend this thriller to people who like fast paced heart pumping thrillers。Thank you to Netgalley and Grand Central Publishing for a free copy of I Will Find You for an honest review。 All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own。 。。。more

4。5 stars --- every single time I start a Harlan Coben book I know to set aside a few hours because nothing else is getting accomplished until I read it cover to cover。 I Will Find You was no different -- Coben takes a plot that would be improbable and wild if written by anyone else and spins it into a tale of gold。 David is serving a life sentence for the murder of his three year old son。 He awoke one night five years ago to find his son beaten to death in his room。 His family members begin to 4。5 stars --- every single time I start a Harlan Coben book I know to set aside a few hours because nothing else is getting accomplished until I read it cover to cover。 I Will Find You was no different -- Coben takes a plot that would be improbable and wild if written by anyone else and spins it into a tale of gold。 David is serving a life sentence for the murder of his three year old son。 He awoke one night five years ago to find his son beaten to death in his room。 His family members begin to doubt his innocence when damning evidence is revealed at trial -- thinking he may have done it in a fugue state。 David knows he did not kill his son but can't find any reason to care about what happens to him now that he's gone。 Until his ex sister-in-law shows up out of the blue with a picture from a friend's day at the amusement park with her family -- and the eight year old boy in the background looks eerily like his dead son Matthew。 Knowing that he won't get anyone to believe his son is still alive, David must find a way out of prison to track down where his son is all these years later。 Of course, many things align in his favor, such as the prison warden being an old family friend。 David is quickly putting pieces together to find out who could have possibly framed him for such a horrific crime, but he needs to do it before he is recaptured。 My jaw was literally on the ground at the conclusion of this book。 A crazy ride with a stunning finish, just as I have come to expect from Coben's books。 Thanks so much to Netgalley & the publisher for my advanced copy in exchange for this honest review。 。。。more

David Burroughs is in prison for his son’s murder, but he knows deep down he didn’t do it。 Unfortunately, no one else believes David is innocent。 That is until five years after his conviction when his sister-in-law, Rachel shows up for a visit。 David hasn’t had any visitors for the past five years and isn’t really wanting them。 However, when Rachel shows him proof that his son might be alive David will stop at nothing to find his son。 Harlan Coben certainly has a way with thrillers and this one David Burroughs is in prison for his son’s murder, but he knows deep down he didn’t do it。 Unfortunately, no one else believes David is innocent。 That is until five years after his conviction when his sister-in-law, Rachel shows up for a visit。 David hasn’t had any visitors for the past five years and isn’t really wanting them。 However, when Rachel shows him proof that his son might be alive David will stop at nothing to find his son。 Harlan Coben certainly has a way with thrillers and this one definitely did not disappoint。 The way it was written from various characters point’s of view helped further the story and made it suspenseful。 I couldn’t imagine finding myself in David’s situation, but Coben makes him a very likable character。 Even when he does wrong, you just have to forgive David because he is so desperate to find his son。 I found this book almost impossible to put down。 Although I did predict many parts, Coben’s suspenseful writing kept me engaged in the storyline to find out if I was right。 I highly recommend it to any thriller fans! This book starts off in prison, which is not conducive to my idea of entertainment。 I almost quit reading but am so glad I didn't。 It became a nail-biting adventure。 Granted, one has to go with the flow and enjoy the run without the necessity of reality。 Some situations had results that were too good to be true。 Of course, one is counting on that being the case。 An engaging read that has a few surprises to keep one guessing。 Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley。 My review i This book starts off in prison, which is not conducive to my idea of entertainment。 I almost quit reading but am so glad I didn't。 It became a nail-biting adventure。 Granted, one has to go with the flow and enjoy the run without the necessity of reality。 Some situations had results that were too good to be true。 Of course, one is counting on that being the case。 An engaging read that has a few surprises to keep one guessing。 Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley。 My review is voluntary。 。。。more

David Burroughs is serving a life sentence for the murder of his 3 year old son。 He says he would not do such a thing but he did not contest the charges - he had been in a liquor induced haze and blames himself, guilty or not。 Five years into his sentence in a high security prison, he has refused any visitors。 Without notice, his sister-in-law, Rachel, comes to the prison and manages to see him though。 She shows him a picture taken at an event at an amusement park where a boy in the background j David Burroughs is serving a life sentence for the murder of his 3 year old son。 He says he would not do such a thing but he did not contest the charges - he had been in a liquor induced haze and blames himself, guilty or not。 Five years into his sentence in a high security prison, he has refused any visitors。 Without notice, his sister-in-law, Rachel, comes to the prison and manages to see him though。 She shows him a picture taken at an event at an amusement park where a boy in the background just might be his son - so perhaps he is not guilty after all。 But he has to escape from prison to find out if his son is really alive。 Thus begins a fast-paced story with plenty of twists and surprises (some of which are really reaching but they don’t hurt the story)。 Coben has once again created a story that will grab you from the very beginning to the very end。 I suspect most readers will have a good idea how the story will end but getting there is a fun ride。 Not Coben’s best book I have read, but worth your time。 My thanks to Hachette Book Group and NetGalley for the ARC of this book。 。。。more

I’m always behind a premise like this, where it’s David and Goliath battle。 Can an everyday guy beat the odds? Prove his innocence? And in this case, find his son?The tension starts in the first pages and just never lets up。 Prison breaks, gangland bosses, shady wealthy families, old friends and foes, tendrils from the past and more is all woven into a non stop, edge of your seat, heart pounding plot。 Did I mention the twisty turns that change the narrative? I was surprised every time! And I have to mention the dialogue between the two FBI agents。 It's a rapid patter that is actually quite funny。Over the top? A wee bit, but just go with it - it’s such a great read。 Coben fans will enjoy the cameo of Hester Crimstein from the Wilde series。 I can see this one coming to a screen。 。。。more

I received this ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review。This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I know everyone is obsessed。 I’ve watched all the Netflix adaptations though and we binge watched them all when they dropped and couldn’t get enough and wanted more。I stupidly started this on a Sunday night at 11pm when I had to be up early the next day, that was a huge mistake as I just couldn’t stop reading。Imagine if you are David serving a life imprisonmen I received this ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review。This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I know everyone is obsessed。 I’ve watched all the Netflix adaptations though and we binge watched them all when they dropped and couldn’t get enough and wanted more。I stupidly started this on a Sunday night at 11pm when I had to be up early the next day, that was a huge mistake as I just couldn’t stop reading。Imagine if you are David serving a life imprisonment for the murder of your only son Matthew you know you didn’t do it but you don’t know what happened that fateful night?。5 years later your sister in law visits out of the blue and brings you a photograph that shows your son Matthew is alive and well。 You would do everything in your power to get out and find your son and being him home wouldn’t you ?。What an absolute triumph this story was, I almost couldn’t believe what I was reading and the 8 Months Later was just perfect。 。。。more

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced digital copy of this book。Three years into life sentence without parole for the murder of his three-year old son, David Burroughs is just killing time until he dies。 Unable to remember the horrific crime, he assumes, as does everyone else, that he was drunk and in a fugue state when he committed it。But then, his ex-sister-in-law visits and shows him a picture that looks just like his dead son, but was taken only a few months ago。 Is he actually alive? Who was the boy who died that night? Thus begins an unlikely adventure, but somehow it all fits together and makes sense。 Harlan Coben is the master of the almost unbelievable story and this is one of his best, and most unbelievable, but somehow you believe it。 。。。more

I Will Find You by Harlan Coben is a standalone thriller。 To enjoy this book, you will definitely have to suspend disbelief。 I love the fast pace of the book and the main character of David Burroughs who is serving a life sentence for killing his young son。 David has always maintained his innocence, but five years after Matthew's death, his ex-sister-in-law, Rachel, brings him evidence that Matthew may actually be alive。 Now David needs to figure out how to escape from prison so he can find Matt I Will Find You by Harlan Coben is a standalone thriller。 To enjoy this book, you will definitely have to suspend disbelief。 I love the fast pace of the book and the main character of David Burroughs who is serving a life sentence for killing his young son。 David has always maintained his innocence, but five years after Matthew's death, his ex-sister-in-law, Rachel, brings him evidence that Matthew may actually be alive。 Now David needs to figure out how to escape from prison so he can find Matthew and get to the truth of what really happened to his son。 David and Rachel have to deal with several unlikable people in his quest for the truth。 Unfortunately, two of the detectives on the case are really hard to take。 Their banter which I suppose was supposed to be amusing had me skipping ahead until the next scene。 One detective proved to actually care about justice, but I wish the personalities of this duo would have been toned down。 In spite of some of the less appealing characters, I enjoyed the book overall。 The complex plot of the story is often far-fetched, but the book is action-packed from beginning to end, with several unexpected twists to keep you guessing。I received an advance copy of this ebook from NetGalley and Grand Central at no cost。 My review is voluntary and unbiased。 。。。more
